The bandwidth and connectivity available through Hosting Services is fully burstable to 100Mb (additional burstable 100Mb feeds can be provided as the load requires) and this is billed on a pay-as-you-use basis. Burstable bandwidth guarantees the extra capacity needed at peak times of web traffic, ensuring that it is only paid for when required.

Hosting Services provides complete scalability to bandwidth / data transfer requirements and offers exceptionally economical upgrades.

Burstable bandwidth charging is based on the 95th percentile model. The following diagram illustrates this process:



Network utilisation is sampled every 300 seconds and recorded. These figures are then compiled over the period of the month and the 95th Percentile is calculated.

Customers are then billed to the nearest 1/10th of a Mbs.

The web based interface offered by Hosting Services provides each customer with a unique login and password. Bandwidth reporting provides detailed statistics on the number of bytes of data sent and received against each IP address allocated to you.
