The following monitoring is available:
Availability
Monitoring - Using a variety of tools such as Compaq Insight
Manager we are able to check the 'health' of server components.
This allows for proactive fault diagnosis and resolution before
the server fails.
Performance
Monitoring - We constantly monitor server performance ranging
from CPU utilisation to disk usage. This allows us to spot when
bottlenecks are being encountered. If possible we conduct maintenance
such as file compression or where necessary can offer advice on
scaling the solution up or out.
Website Monitoring
- We watch websites using a variety of tools including IPMonitor
from DeepMetrix. If a site goes down or an associated service such
as ftp fails we are able to respond immediately in order to resolve
the issue.
Bandwidth
reporting - The web based interface provided by Hosting Service
provides each customer with a unique login and password. Bandwidth
reporting provides detailed statistics on the number of bytes of
data sent and received against each IP address allocated to you.
Application Monitoring - Bespoke
real-time application performance monitoring and reporting ensures
our clients' applications are optimised for availability, response,
security, scalability and reliability. This level of reporting ensures
our clients are usually better informed, than if they had hosted
and managed their applications in-house.
Hosting Services managed monitoring
is configured by our experienced engineers to your specified business
requirements.
Managed monitoring provides constant
tests
that escalate
a problem when it is detected; this triggers an alert
at our central London Network Operations Centre (NOC) and by SMS
and Email to the relevant engineer, who will immediately respond.
In addition, alerts via SMS or email can be sent directly to you
if requested.
