Internet Access offers organisations a high performance permanent
Internet link suitable for connecting an entire LAN or WAN environment
to the Internet. The service is priced at a flat rate and thus offers
unlimited usage.
Internet Access is a high performance, broadband
connection on uncontended backbone links.
BSG manages the installation of the link.
This includes the local loop installation via the BSG Local Loop
product.
If required, BSG will install a fully
configured Cisco router, providing management and maintenance on
an on-going basis. In addition, the device will support Network
Address Translation (NAT) and Packet Filter Firewall. These features
will permit the use of private internal address space and provide
perimeter security for your LAN.
Internet Access is available in any speed
from 256kbps upwards. The high speed Local Loop connections that
BSG utilises offer LAN speed capabilities over short haul data services
and are capable of supporting speeds of up to 1Gbps, providing a
vastly scalable solution.
Customers have the choice of a 2, 10 or 100Mbps
or 1Gbps Local Loop. This will ensure that upgrades can be implemented
instantly.
The solution is fully managed and each
link is monitored for availability using advanced network monitoring
and diagnostic tools. If a fault is detected the necessary escalation
and fault rectification process is initiated and managed until the
fault is resolved.
